    Manx Trip…Last weekend...

    Manx Trip…

Group of us popped over to the Isle of Man last weekend, superb weather too…

Did several of the rally stages and the TT circuit a couple of times. Being genuinely ‘D’ restricted in places (the mountain ‘Snaefell’ being the biggest section).

Here’s a couple of clips, the stages are so rough it’d flatten the downpipes if not careful…

    The run up Hailwood Rise

And in car from Black Hut to Hillberry, Monday morning rushour.

    And some piccies…

    The Sea View at Douglas

Manx quattro came to visit.... One of only four.

John Briggers and ours, nose to nose at the Bungalow...

    The RallyReps

    Douglas seafrontage...

I’m not being paid to say this by the Isle of Man Tourist Board, but you guys running big (nee 300+bhp) S2/RS2 etc would really excel on the Mountain, our RallyRep was better at the lower speed twisty stuff.

lol, you're right Jay... Problem is, to prepare it properly I think 300+bhp is needed

            Here's the cars that went... 4 type 85's and a mint 20v Type 89..

Looks like you had a brilliant time! I'm very jealous, been there a few times now for the Manx TT (the amateur races held in August-September) on my bike which is a fantastic experience. Flat out over the mountain, albeit only having a 135-140mph top speed on mine, was such a thrill and passing the bigger, newer, faster bikes and being too quick for them to stay with is ace - a sense of speed you can never get over here on 'the mainland'! Some brilliant pics, and great to see such a turnout too... Any more plans to go there?
